This Weekβs Reader Poll: In response to the October 16th reader poll regarding what gives your life purpose each day, itβs very clear that many of you are sustained and nourished either by your faith or by the relationships in your life. Respondents were enthusiastically and equally divided between these two important factors, with a robust minority of other responses related to pet ownership. Given the importance of purpose in maintaining your physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being as you get older, itβs impressive to see that so many of you find meaning in these aspects of your life. Thereβs even research to suggest that having that sense of purpose can protect your brain against dementia or extend your lifespan. For those of you still in search of a purpose, collect your thoughts, open your mind, and take a look here.
