Agebuzz Asks: This Weekβs Reader Poll: In response to the October 10th reader poll regarding chronic illness, almost 40% of our respondents report being in good health and not dealing with any significant chronic illness. The next largest percentage did report having a chronic condition but can manage it and not let it affect their quality of life. However, a sizable portion of respondents are dealing with chronic illness, sometimes several illnesses at once, or providing caregiving to another who has a serious chronic illness. Several of you described efforts to continue to stay busy and persevere despite these conditions or to develop accommodations or workarounds to remain active and engaged. In fact, your stories of perseverance despite your limitations are inspiring and uplifting. No one welcomes a chronic condition but it appears that many if not most of us have learned to adapt and thrive, despite the challenges we face.
