Stay Connected with Your

Independent Loved One

Staying connected with your independent loved one can sometimes mean treading a fine line between keeping them safe and supporting their independence. At CheckinBee, we make it possible to find that healthy balance.

CheckinBee is a secure check-in service that makes it quick and simple to check in while allowing your loved one to maintain the independent lifestyle that they enjoy (even while traveling!).

Our app-free service lets you and your family embrace convenient daily check-ins using standard text messages. Each day, CheckinBee will ask your designated loved one to check in at a time of your choice, and with one quick reply, the entire family can stay informed. If your loved one misses their check-in, we’ll let you know immediately so you are always aware if something is wrong.

Agebuzz Asks: This Week’s Reader Poll: In response to the November 14th reader poll regarding Thanksgiving plans, this poll generated enthusiastic responses, with about 40% of you saying you would be guests at a family or friend’s Thanksgiving table. About ⅙ of respondents said they would be hosting a gathering. The remaining responses varied between restaurants and other options, including a sizable number of you who mentioned you would be alone on Thanksgiving. (If you have room at your table, consider inviting someone you know who doesn’t have plans.) Several of you described no longer enjoying holidays because of the death of a loved one, or no longer being able to get together with family due to logistics or distance. As for favorite Thanksgiving dishes, one thing became clear- virtually everyone likes the “sides” better than the main entree, and few are turkey enthusiasts. The most favorite side? By a long shot, it was stuffing! Here’s hoping that all agebuzz readers have a happy and healthy holiday next week, however you can!
