This Week’s Reader Poll: In response to the June 12th reader poll regarding whether you have any regrets at your current stage of life, respondents shared many sources of regret, including concern and sorrow about family relationships or friendships that may not have turned out as hoped, lack of sufficient money for retirement, or some health choices that were not always the best. However, a surprising number of you also shared that you have no regrets- at worst, you may have gone through some challenging times, but otherwise, having reached the age you have, you were satisfied with how things turned out- and even grateful! That feeling of gratitude and lack of regret is certainly something worth aspiring to. While not all of us naturally feel that way or are uncertain whether we will feel that way as life comes to a close, we can all take some advice from 90-year-old social psychologist Katherine Esty, who recently penned an essay entitled, “I'm a happy 90-year-old with no regrets in life: My 9 'non-negotiables' for being healthier, sharper and happier—at any age.” Hopefully, the wisdom she shares will influence the way you’ve been evaluating your life up until now, as well as the way you shape your life going forward. Best of luck to you all!
