Navigating memory loss and determining whether it's normal or not can be a challenging journey for individuals and their families. This new book from Dr. Nathaniel Chin, an Alzheimer's researcher, pulls from both his medical expertise and personal experiences with his father to provide a solid foundation for you to navigate this journey. With evidence-based guidance on how to assess what's normal and what's not, what questions to ask, and how to get the best advice and treatment you can, Dr. Chin provides an essential roadmap for anyone dealing with the difficulties of memory loss, cognitive decline, and dementia.

This Week’s Reader Poll Results: Thank you to everyone who responded to our July 23rd poll about attending cultural events. So many of you responded positively about an array of musical performances, museum exhibitions, theater outings, lectures, and other cultural activities you’ve attended. In fact, our most enthusiastic responses suggest that many of you enjoy a wide range of cultural activities on a regular basis. That’s great news, as more and more research suggests that cultural outings are not only good for our mental and emotional health, but may even be associated with slower biological aging! Several of you did state that you only attend daytime or matinee performances because of vision or driving limitations, and others said mobility challenges have limited your ability to attend cultural outings. Regarding your most memorable cultural events, there is a member of the agebuzz community who attended the original Woodstock festival! The enthusiasm reflected in so many of your responses suggests that cultural activities still play an important role in your lives and bring much pleasure to many. That’s a win-win for your body and your mind!

The Cotswolds don’t need to prove anything. It’s been beautiful for centuries without “trying too hard”.
There’s a street where the stone has turned the colour of honey and wisteria grows over the buildings like it was always supposed to be there. It’s truly enchanting.
We walk past places like this every morning on the Cotswold Way. No forced agenda. No rushing.
Seven nights in May. Small group. Every detail handled.
