This Week’s Reader Poll: In response to the January 16th reader poll regarding “Who Have You Most Admired In Your Life,” close to 50% of respondents answered either their parents or their children. A close second response was a spouse or partner. Many of you described the enormous courage and resilience of parents or other loved ones coming to the United States from other countries with nothing, to create a better life for their children. Comments from respondents were suffused with love and admiration for these relatives. Several described the enormous sacrifice their mothers made to raise children under difficult circumstances. Many spoke of the integrity, humility, and character of their children and how in awe they are of what their children have achieved. Resilience, integrity, character, and joy were the qualities most present in the people you admired. From your responses, it’s clear that many agebuzz readers have been blessed to have wonderful people in their lives.
