Valentine's Day is just around the corner! Whether you're celebrating your spouse, your favorite "Galentine," or some other special someone, here's a way to buy a little something beautiful and enduring (without breaking the bank). Take a pass on the fresh flowers and instead, go for flowers preserved forever in a glass "angel." Let that special Valentine know they're forever a part of your heart. Now marked down in time for Valentine's Day!

This Week’s Reader Poll: In response to the January 29th reader poll on the most expensive purchase you’ve made in your life, fully ¾ of you said the purchase was a place to live.  Whether it was a long-ago purchase or something more recent, so many of you recalled the pride and comfort you felt when buying your own place. Some of you gave practical reasons for the purchase, perhaps downsizing from an earlier home, while others expressed that the home fulfilled a lifelong desire to have a place to call your own. A few other noteworthy “purchases” were also mentioned, including a long-planned trip to a foreign destination or the practical need to pay for education. No matter the reason, no one expressed regrets about the expenditures they made, and many of you were grateful for what you had bought, especially for the homes that you have cherished. As Maya Angelou said, "The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned." For many, purchasing that home was unquestionably the fulfillment of a long-held dream. Thank you all for sharing your experiences with us.
