One of your favorite book authors is at it again. Writer Anna Quindlen is about to publish a new book, More Than Enough: A Novel, which delves into the friendships and bonds of older women through connections built in a book group, and how those relationships can help us better understand ourselves and the impact of family and friends on our lives. An author who always gives us insights on love, family, relationships, and life, Quindlen has undoubtedly just written her next great novel. So bring together your book group and pre-order this new selection here.

This Week’s Reader Poll: In response to the February 5th reader poll on your favorite comfort food, the leading answer corresponded well to the prevailing winter weather: that is, a bowl of hot soup. Many of you extolled the simple pleasure of making and eating a delicious bowl of soup with minimal exertion. Following up on this answer, the next most popular response was something sweet. Whether it was a made-from-scratch cookie or cake, or anything that contains chocolate, we clearly have some sweet tooths among agebuzz subscribers. For many of you, your comfort food recalls a loving memory of someone from your past, such as cooking with your mother or grandmother. For others, the comfort comes from simply treating yourself in this moment, with no connection to an earlier time. In these ongoing winter days, with cold temperatures still ahead (at least according to the groundhog!), allow yourself to indulge in some comfort food to keep yourself going. As the poet Terrance Hayes once said, “If we have less time alive than the time we have lived, shouldn't it all be comfort food?”

- The change in my attitude about what’s important in life
- The decline in, or loss of, my family members or friends
- My memory loss
