Agebuzz Asks: This Week’s Reader Poll: In response to the November 21st reader poll regarding how often you take a walk, about 40% of respondents said they walk at least once a day for exercise, and about another 20% said they walk for exercise at least 3-4 days per week. Specifically, many of you shared some impressive step numbers for when you go out to walk. A number of you aim for- and achieve- at least 10,000 steps a day, some even more. It’s apparent that even though counting steps is secondary to just getting the exercise of a good walk, many of you have set goals for yourself, perhaps as a motivation to keep going or continue when you’d rather stop. As you all know, no matter whether you hit 2000 or 20,000 steps a day, the important point is to keep active and move, which is an essential step for anyone who wants to remain healthy in their later years. To all who responded, thank you- you are inspiring!
