Emergencies are challenging enough. But finding critical information you'll need for appropriate medical care when time is of the essence makes the situation that much more difficult. Save yourself and your loved ones the trauma of quickly gathering essential information by setting up an Emergency Medical Information Kit for your fridge. It keeps your medications, allergies, medical history, and emergency contacts ready for first responders or family caregivers in seconds. It's a small price to pay for priceless help in an emergency.

This Week’s Reader Poll: In response to the March 26th poll about whether you own and drive a car, fully ⅔ of the respondents said they own a car and drive it regularly. A much smaller number of you stated that you still own a car but only drive on occasion, with limitations on night driving and driving outside your local area. Most of you made clear that you are still comfortable and confident as drivers, and that the quality of your life would be diminished if you could no longer drive yourself around. A few of you mentioned that at some point, you may need to give up your car and stop driving, and the few of you who have already done so described the challenges you now have getting groceries or relying on others to drive you. For most of you, the option of using public transportation is not available, though a few who live in urban settings spoke very positively about using mass transit. While a couple of you mentioned conversations with adult children about the possibility of eventually giving up the car, it seems most are waiting until they have no choice or until “the keys are taken away.” For now, we wish all of you still behind the wheel safe travels as you continue on down the road.
